A state-of-the-art aquatic center will be built by the summer of 2010 for Irving residents to enjoy. The West Irving Aquatic Center will be located near the Georgia Farrow Recreation Center and will offer more than 10,000 square feet of water attractions. Features will include four, 25-yard lap lanes with a wheelchair-accessible entrance ramp, and unique amenities such as a rock climbing wall that extends 8 feet above the water. The center also will have zero-depth entry, two water slides, an interactive playground and a shaded toddler pool. Construction is set to begin in July.
