It is with deep regret that we report that tragedy has struck another beloved Sherwood Forest family. On the night of January 6th, 2009, Paul and Gaye Gardner of 2613 Locksley Chase house was engulfed in flames. As most of you have heard by now all the eastern half of SF, from the railroad to Conflans and Eastern side of Nottingham to Story Road was w/o power, except for maybe 1 1/2 hours at noon. Finally around 10:00 PM the power was restored. The Gardners, had gone out to eat and were driving up the street when they saw their home. Three cats and 3 dogs perished in the fire. They only have what they had on then when they left to go eat.
Let’s turn this tragedy around as we saw with the Tullos home tragedy by being example of good neighbors.
