In business news, Googly Eyes & Craft Supplies will be opening a store at 1111 W. Airport Freeway (next to Carnival Food Store). This new retailer will help fill the void of a local arts/crafts store that many residents have been requesting.
Irving Health Center
A new health care center for Irving residents is scheduled to open in early September. Senior Idol Auditions and Show
Senior Idol Auditions will take place at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 10 and 13 at the Heritage Senior Center, 200 S. Jefferson St. Participants will have fun competing for the title on Aug. 24. Back to School Fiesta
A Back to School Fiesta will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 25 at the Irving Mall Food Court. Free immunizations will be given to children (must provide shot record).
